Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PocketClaw ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our app and relay services.
Information We Collect
- Account data: email address and authentication identifiers used to create and secure your account.
- Service data: gateway IDs, pairing state, connection metadata, and session status needed to operate the relay service.
- User content: messages, command text, tool output, supported attachments, and conversation metadata that pass through the relay. PocketClaw stores relay conversation history so it can synchronize sessions across your devices.
- Notification data: push registration identifiers and Live Activity tokens used to deliver status updates you enable.
- Technical data: logs, timestamps, request metadata, and diagnostic data used to ensure reliability and security.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate users and maintain secure, active sessions.
- To provide and maintain relay connectivity between your app and your gateway.
- To deliver the messages, attachments, commands, and related context you choose to send to your paired Agent host for AI processing.
- To monitor performance, investigate incidents, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
AI Processing and Data Sharing
PocketClaw does not choose an AI model provider for you. You pair PocketClaw with an Agent runtime that you operate, such as OpenClaw, Hermes, or cc-connect, and configure that runtime with an AI provider or local model.
When you explicitly send content, PocketClaw transmits it through PocketClaw Relay to your paired Agent host. Depending on your Agent configuration, that host may then send your message text, commands, attachments, relevant conversation context, and Agent or tool results to an AI provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, xAI, Mistral AI, Groq, Moonshot AI, Alibaba Cloud, MiniMax, SiliconFlow, a custom provider, or a self-hosted model. The selected provider processes this data to generate the response or perform the requested task.
Before PocketClaw sends user content for the first time, the app displays this data path, identifies the current provider when that information is available from the paired host, and asks for your explicit permission. You can decline and continue using non-message features.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising or profiling. Infrastructure providers processing data on our behalf are required to protect it under contractual safeguards that provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy. AI providers selected and configured by you are independent recipients and process data under your account settings and their own privacy terms. Review your selected provider's policy, retention, and model-training controls before enabling it.
Data Retention
Conversation history is retained while the associated gateway remains registered so PocketClaw can synchronize sessions. You can clear a conversation from the app. Deleting your account removes your account data and data belonging to gateways that are no longer linked to another account. Some security, billing, or operational records may be retained where required by law or needed to resolve disputes.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards, including TLS for data in transit and access controls for production systems. Relay content is not end-to-end encrypted from the PocketClaw app to your Agent host, because the relay must process supported synchronization and delivery events. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Rights
You can withdraw permission for future AI data sharing at any time in PocketClaw under Settings > AI Data Sharing. After withdrawal, PocketClaw blocks new user-content messages until you grant permission again. Withdrawal does not delete data previously delivered to your Agent host or selected AI provider; use the controls offered by that host or provider for that data.
You can clear a conversation in PocketClaw or delete your PocketClaw account from Settings. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
